Dorset Country Wedding of Francesca & Tim

On the 18th of June I trundled over to a fabulous little known part of Dorset, the wonderful Burton Bradstock (near Bridport) for the wedding of Francesca and Tim. A beautiful sunny summers day I started with the boys at the Three Horseshoes Inn for the Ushers Lunch and then off to the house (also the venue for todays reception) to catch up with Francesca and the girls as they made their preparations.

To the Church then, packed to the rafters and a wonderful ceremony to follow. Exit the new Mr & Mrs Baldwin into the summer sunshine and off to the family farmstead and the  wonderful marquee set in the beautiful grounds and gardens.

Relaxation time now, champagne all round and time to catch up with old friends and maybe make some new ones too. A few family photographs achieved and then Francesca, Tim and I slip away for some romantic pictures and a little quiet time for the happy couple to reflect on the days prceeedings thus far.

Back to the marquee, time for the wedding breakfast, followed by speeches and cutting of the fantastic wedding cake. As the sun sets and darkness falls the DJ picks up the volume and it’s time for Francesca and Tim to take to the floor for their first official dance as husband and wife.

What a fantastic day :-)

Here are just a few of my favourite images from francesca & Tims wedding…enjoy :-)

Big Kids in the Park eShoot with Jayne & Paul

Earlier today, I me up with Jayne and Paul for their eShoot. Both being outdoors kind of people and Jayne just qualifying as a P.E. Teacher we though it would be fun to do something a bit different to do with their outdoors lifestyle…so off to the local Park we went!

Jayne and Paul are getting married at Maunsel House in Somerset on the 21st August, no climbing frames then though ;-)

Here are a few pictures from today’s eShoot in the Park….

Real Bride Wedding Top Tips

Today’s Top Tips and favourite picture come’s from Adrianna & Roy Stainwright – Shearer.

Adrianna and Roy were married on the 20th August last year at Highgate House in Northamptonshire and had a fabulous good old fashioned afternoon Tea party. You can read all about Adrianna and Roy’ Highgate House Wedding story on our Blog, and to see their Northampton Wedding album, check out our wedding Venue’s page.

Here is Adrianna….

Hi Courtenay

This is by far my favourite picture because of the story it tells.

(Adrianna looking out of the window of the honeymoon suite at Highgate House in Northamptonshire)

To me this picture is saying im a ready confident bride (and its almost like im looking down onto my wedding day from the bridal suite) the curtains drawn back and my how my hands are placed on my hips also express this. Couldn’t compliment the photography more. The lighting in this picture is amazing.
Three tips for wedding planning
1. Its your day – if you want mountains and rainfalls have mountains and rainfalls don’t settle for what others would like or prefer. Its your day – they should be honoured to be apart of what ever you choose
2. Choose a dress that speaks you. Don’t pick a dress because you think its in fashion or makes your boobs look big. Pick something that you feel amazing and thats comfortable (nothing worse than a bride with popping out boobs!) A dress should compliment your figure and express who you are.
3. Share the planning and compromise with your partner. I shared all the decorating ideas with my husband (even though he wasn’t specifically involved) Its really important to at least include them even if its just showing it to them. If they don’t seem to be fazed then at least you’ve done your part.

Best wishes

Lyme Regis Dorset Wedding of Emily & Ryan

August Bank Holiday Monday, what a scorcher! well it was where I was anyway, a new location for me, the Alexander Hotel in Lyme Regis on the Dorset Jurasic coast, what a fab view too!

Emily and Ryan had a great day for a wedding, hot and sunny all day. They got married quite early for these days 11.30am and then were able to take full advantage of the lovely weather in the gardens of the Alexander Hotel, they had even thought to bring various garden games to keep everyone entertained.

Later we slipped down to a very packed beach indeed, which was great fun and Emily and Ryan attracted a fair bit of attention, all very good natured though, we got some fab shots too. The wedding breakfast back at the hotel and then it was time to head down Lyme Regis’ famous high street for the evening venue and entertainment.

Another very lovely day indeed.

Combe House Gittisham Devon Wedding of Lisa & Ben

You can now view Lisa & Ben’s Combe House Wedding Album over on the Main Wedding Photography site if you click here!

Last Sunday I went back to the fabulous Combe House in Gittisham Devon for the wedding of Lisa and Ben. This time my happy couple got married in the lovely church of St Michaels actually in the village of Gittisham and their guests were transported two and fro from Combe House to the church in a lovely vintage double decker bus.

The weather could have been kinder during the day, we had some very heavy blustery showers, however this didn’t stop us getting outside for the few formals and some romantic shots of Lisa and Ben in the Gardens of Combe. Later however just as everyone was entering the Marquee (which was fabulously dressed from Lisa’s inspiration as you will see in some of the pictures below) for the wedding breakfast, the skies finally cleared and we were left with beautiful late summer sunshine, which turned into a fabulous sunset and a clear starry night.

A wonderful relaxing day full of laughter and fun ended with dancing in the great hall.

Congratulations Lisa and Ben I wish you all the happiness for the future.

1st Wedding Anniversary Congratulations

Many congratulations today go to Alison and Simon Nobles who celebrate one year of marriage. Alison and Simon were married this day a year ago at St Anne’s Church in Weymouth and then went on to Lulworth Castle in Dorset for their reception. Their wedding day was full of fun and we were even treated to medieval capers with a jester who loved to eat fire and knights on horse back jousting for favour.

Happy anniversary guys, I hope you have a wonderful day.

Best wishes
