Abbotsbury Sub Tropical Gardens Dorset eshoot of Jenny & Simon

Another lovely sunny summers day and a great opportunity to meet up with Jenny and Simon at Abbotsbury Sub Tropical Gardens on the Dorset Coast for their eshoot. Jenny was very nervous as she hates having her picture taken and is very camera shy indeed, however I think she got into the swing of it and I’m sure you will agree from the pictures below that the camera likes her very much! Jenny and Simon are getting married very soon at the lovely Athelhampton House near Puddletown in Dorset, I’m looking forward to it very much.

Fiddleford Manor Dorset eshoot of Emma & William

Another lovely sunny day and a great opportunity to meet up with Emma and William for their eshoot. We decided to wander down to the lovely Fiddleford Manor just outside Sturminster Newton Dorset, where it’s nice and peaceful and the surroundings are really beautiful. Emma and William are getting married in September at the stunning Athelhampton House in the heart of the lovely Dorset countryside, lets hope for some sun then too!

Sandbanks Poole Dorset eshoot of Juliet and Ed

I met up with Juliet and Ed the other day at Shell Bay Sandbanks near Poole Dorset for their eshoot. When we arrived it was blowing a hooley and the rain was driving almost horizontally, so we sat in the truck and had a bit of a chat about their day. Before we knew it the rain stopped the sky cleared and the sun finally poked its head out, time to get down to the beach for a bit of fun and some picture taking.  Juliet and Ed are certainly a fun couple and were up for getting in the water and jumping off sand dunes, we had a great time.

Juliet and Ed are getting married in September at st Mary’s Church in Dorchester and then going on to Lorton House in Weymouth for their reception. I am really looking forward to their wedding as I’m sure like them its going to be great fun!

Beaulieu Hampshire Silver Wedding Anniversary of Pat & Alistair

So I was very pleased a little while ago to be asked to cover the silver wedding anniversary, of Pat and Alistair Asher. A couple of weeks ago one very sunny warm evening I drove down to Beaulieu in Hampshire to the wonderful Domus (the setting for this evenings events) where I found Pat and Alistair ready to greet their guests for an evening of celebration to mark 25 years of wonderful marriage. Pat and Alistair had decided to have their evening captured in my usual informal style as this sort of thing was just not available to them 25 years ago when they got married and they just wanted relaxed natural pictures of the proceedings.

A fine sunny evening then as I mentioned before, and soon the courtyard of the Domus was full of Pat and Alistair’s guests drinking Champagne, Pimms and enjoying good company and canapes. An hour or so of fun conversation and catching up with friends and family, it was then time to head into the Domus itself for a celebration meal. Before tucking into the scrumptious feast Alistair made a funny and touching speech regaling tales of his and Pat’s first meeting, subsequent wedding and the wonderful 25 years of marriage so far. After dinner, the band started up and everyone danced the night away, a lovely evening indeed, congratulations Pat and Alistair on 25 years of marriage.

Dorset Wedding Photographer New Look Website Now Live!!!

Hi everyone,

Thanks for being so patient over the last couple of weeks re our websites. I am now pleased to be able to say that the new look sites are finally up and running :-) There are some great new gadgets and gizmo’s, such as the new page on looking at one of our complete wedding albums – the pages turn like a real book and you can zoom in and out. Also the new online albums page has been revamped, with an entirely new and improved shopping cart/album viewing system. Of course, to top it all off we have updated the galleries; so make sure you check them out (recent couples especially – you never know you may be the star!) Generally the site is much more user-friendly, and I hope you like it.

I’m sure we will still have a few teething problems (as all new sites do), and if you do come across anything you think should come to our attention, we would be very grateful if you could drop us a line and tell us (of course, feel free to lavish some love to if you’re loving the new look!).
Anyway check out the new look here www.courtenayphotographic.co.uk and let us know what you think.

Thanks again

Best wishes

Website Changes Imminent !!!

Hi everyone,

Sorry I have been quiet for a few day’s but it’s been quite hectic here behind the scenes, anyway just wanted to update you with some important information regarding our website’s.

We have been working very hard behind the scenes to bring all our websites under our own roof, that is totally managed in house without outside influence (and cost of course!). This will mean slicker easier to manage sites, easier for you to navigate and to find what is important to you, also some new gizmo’s and gadgets which we hope you will find useful and fun ( we love gizmo’s and gadgets we do!). Basically the new site will look fairly similar but there will be some subtle changes here and there. For example the online client gallery and shopping part of our site will be more intuitive and flexible and fun, flip albums to browse, a video of me in action coming soon (Uh Oh – love being on film I do…not!)  oh and we have updated the galleries too and quite a bit more besides.

So all this lovely new stuff is going to be with you very soon, in fact probably within the next 48 hours or so. Now here is where we ask you to bear with us! All new sites have teething problems and even with all the extensive behind the scenes work you can never really tell about these until we go live. We might be lucky  you never know fingers crossed, but at very least our site will be off line for a few hours whilst the transition takes place. We will try to make sure this happens late at night when hopefully you will all be tucked up fast asleep dreaming of the lovely things you do. But again with the wonderful world of the internet there is never any guarantee so please bear with us. But don’t panic, we haven’t disappeared, your pictures and albums are safe and yes we will be there to photograph your wedding!

That’s it for now, thanks for you patience and see you on the other side ;-)
