Saturday saw me heading down to deepest darkest Devon to meet up with Sarah and Lee for their wedding. A fairly unique ocasion for me, as I hadn’t met either Sarah or Lee before! Why I hear you say, well because they hadn’t been in the UK since booking me, in fact they booked me from Qatar which is where they both live and work and which is where they met too!
Anyway first to find Sarah and the girls for the usual preparations for the big day. Not the best of days, fairly wet, but as I arrived the rain stopped and the sun made a valiant attempt at showing itself through the clouds. From Sarah’s my next stop, St Andrews Church in the lovely village of Stokenteignhead (try saying that fast a dozen times over
) and to the local pub to catch up with Lee and the boys.
Soon its time to head up the steep hill to the Church, Sarah arrives and a lovely ceremony to follow. Out now and off to the next and final location for today, the lovely Orestone Manor in Maidencombe Torquay, this is our setting for the wedding reception. Sunshine…perfect, a few family formals and then just relaxing with fiends and family before its time to head in for the wedding breakfast.
Cake cutting and speeches to follow and not before long the evening is upon us and time for the first dance for Sarah and Lee
Here are just some of my favourite images from Sarah and Lee’s Devon wedding….
