Combe House Wedding

Back at the fab Combe House near Honiton in Devon yesterday.

Sadly, I can’t divulge the names of my couple, tell you anything about the day or even show you any images, due to the sensitivity of this wedding.

It was a top day though and the sun shone too, bonus!  ;-)

Langtry Manor Bournemouth Wedding of Sarah & Corinne

So last Wednesday saw me head down to Langtry Manor in Bournemouth Dorset for the wedding of Sarah and Corrine. I know in the eyes of the law it is a civil partnership, but to Sarah, Corrine and their family and friends it was/is very much a wedding just as anyone else who gets married feels.

A lovely sunny day and I join each of the girls in turn for the usual bridal preps, only this time two of everything which was fun :-) Soon its time to head out into the garden for the official ceremony and Sarah and Corinne head down the the red carpeted aisle together to say their vows. A lovely ceremony, the official documents signed and now time to relax with family and friends with Pimms and Canapes in the warm autumnal afternoon sunshine.

Sarah, Corinne and I then take the opportunity to slip away from the crowd and head down to the beach for a little quiet time for the girls to catch their breath and for me to get some nice personal pictures for their album. We had a few funny looks and even one old chap offered his services as a groom, a little perplexed I think when I told him that the girls had no need of such ;-) But we had a great time and it was lovely by the sea in the warm sunshine.

Back to Langtry Manor and time to head in for the wedding breakfast, speeches first before dining. After dinner, time to head over the road to Langtry Lodge for the evening reception, more guests arriving and soon its time for Sarah and Corrine to take to the dance floor for their official first dance after which its my time to leave.

A lovely day had by all, I wish both Sarah and Corrine the very best of everything :-)

Kingston Maurward Dorset Wedding of Chloe & Tim

Last Sunday I headed off to Kingston Maurward just outside Dorchester in Dorset for the wedding of Chloe and Tim. No Bridal preps for me today, Chloe just asked me to start with images of her friends and family arriving at Kingston Maurward. I met Tim outside, who was a bit nervous, but soon guests were arriving to help take his mind off things. Eventually it was the turn of Chloe to arrive and Tim met her outside himself.

Guests now seated in the Pengelly Suite stood to the arrival of Tim and Chloe together processing down the aisle to wed. A touching ceremony, the traditional signing of the register and then out into the beautiful gardens of Kingston Maurward for canapes and Pimms.

A few family formals achieved then Tim, Chloe and I slipped away for ten minutes to capture some more intimate pictures for their album and then it was time to head back indoors for the wedding breakfast.

After the meal a few short speeches and then the traditional cutting of the wedding cake, time to leave this room and head out for coffee and cake. Evening guests now arriving in numbers and soon its time to head back into the marquee room for the official first dance for Chloe and Tim, after which the band kicks in and everyone dances the night away.

Back to Athelhampton house near Dorchester Dorset last Saturday for the wedding of Jenny and Simon.

First I attended Jenny’s family home for the usual Bridal preps and then headed my way across country in the most beautiful Autumn sunshine to Athelhampton the scene for today’s celebrations. Fabulous autumnal colours of red’s, golds, oranges etc the theme for today’s wedding oh and a 1940′s style wedding dress to die for. Jenny arrived in her beloved Bentley looking absolutely stunning and made her way to the great Hall where Simon and their guests were waiting.

After the lovely ceremony, a blessing was performed in the pyramid garden and then everyone relaxed and enjoyed the pimms and the warm afternoon sunshine. Jenny, Simon and I slipped away for a short while to capture some special pictures for their album and then upon returning I captured the few formal photographs.

Time to head to the Coach House, the wedding breakfast and I am invited to dine, how lovely and unexpected. Cutting of the wedding cake (another fab Lisa Notley creation) and then the official wedding speeches… coffee and cake in the long room.

Time to call Jenny and Simon to the dance floor for their first song and then the fab Fairplay band took up the mantle to rock the night away.

Another lovely day :-)
