Lorton House Dorset Wedding of Sabrina & Adam

Well what can I say!! Except to say this wedding was absolutely fabulous :-) I would love to show you every picture because there was just so much going on, so much fun, sooo many details, love and laughter. Unfortunately I can’t…I would blow up my blog, but below are just a few of my favourite images from the day, and don’t forget I will be posting a fab mood board from this wedding very soon with all those wonderful, wonderful details…watch this space!

Sabrina and Adam had a wonderful sunny day for their wedding. Starting off at the lovely Lorton House for the usual Bridal preparations, and then on to Bennetts Water Gardens in Weymouth for a lovely outdoor ceremony. Then Sabrina and her hubby Adam and I made our way down to Moonfleet on the Dorset coast to capture a few quite moments before proceeding back to Lorton House for the rest of the day’s festivites. Oh and what festivities…a lazer shoot, bouncy castle, Zorbing, live comedy act a fab band (& DJ of course), sparklers, fireworks and a fab solo/one man band to end the night…phew!!

Dinner in the marquee followed by the fab El-Loco comedy mime act and then time for the hilarious speeches. A little lul in proceedings allowing Sabrina and Adam to sneak off for a few more quite pictures and then back to the marquee for a very lovely and funny first dance! Time for the band Shooter to kick in and fill the dance floor, later a sparkler tunnel took us all outside to watch the brilliant fireworks and then time for the last act of the evening the great Bill Solo.

What an absolutely fabulous day!

Here are just a few of my favourite images……

Real Bride Top Wedding Tips

Today’s Top Tips and favourite picture come from Juliet and Ed Viney, who were married on the 4th September 2010. Ed and Juliet were married at St Mary’s Church in Dorchester Dorset and then went on to the lovely Lorton House just outside Weymouth in Dorset for their marquee reception.

You can view, their Dorset Wedding story here on our blog.

And now, over to Ed and Juliet…

Dear Courtenay

Happy New Year!

Our favourite photo has to be this one:

It is because it was at this moment when we both realised we’d done something amazing – got married!  Plus I had literally just stepped on Juliet’s wedding dress…!

We think three top tips for planning a wedding, based on our experience, would be:

1. Keep it real.  It’s fun!  Remember, through all your planning, that you are going to be experiencing THE most amazing day.

2. Practise your vows beforehand, at home.  This kept us relaxed when it came to looking each other in the eye and saying those big lines on the day… with no tears or wobbling!

3. Be patient in choosing your venue.  Ours was the last one we saw; we just knew it was right – it was us!

And one more for fun…. Delegate, delegate – your family and friends are your wingmen!

All the very Best

Juliet and Ed

Lorton House Weymouth Dorset Wedding of Juliet & Ed

Last weekend saw me head off to a New venue again, the fab Lorton House just outside Weymouth. I arrived at Lorton House first for the usual preparations as that was where both Juliet and Ed were getting ready.

A lovely warm sunny day, and it was then off to Dorchester and the Church of St Mary’s for the marriage service, it was packed with Juliet and Ed’s family and friends, a lovely sight to see.

Back to Lorton House for Pimms, canape’s and a wander around the lovely grounds, a rogue shower threatened to spoil things but it soon blew away and we all processed to the large Marquee for the wedding breakfast. Speeches, cutting of the cake and coffee and soon time for the Bride and Groom to take to the dance floor for their first dance, then the Band rocked the night away!

Another wonderful day, congratulations Juliet and Ed have a great honeymoon, see you soon (but not too soon ;-) )
