Off to Rebecca’s family home in Alderholt first for the usual Bridal preps and detail shots before the day begins in earnist. On arrival at the house I found a very relaxed and calm Rebecca and her entourage all having their hair and make-up done. All the usual prep details done I head for the Church St Luke’s in Burton where I find Daniel and the boys, Daniel is definitely more nervous than Rebecca!
Soon the Church is full and Rebecca arrives just as the heavens open, typical! Still it does nothing to dampen the excitement of the day and soon Rebecca and Daniel are emerging from St Luke’s man and wife at last.
So its off to the reception held in a beautiful Marquee in the gardens of Parley Manor in Christchurch Dorset. Drinks and canapes held in a separate beautifully decorated marquee, just as well because the rain is really trying its hardest to ruin the fun. And then, a break, the rain stops and the sun makes a brief appearance…time to get those family photographs!!
Now off to the second marquee for the meal, speeches and of course cutting of the cake. After the official cake cutting, I suggested to Rebecca and Daniel that this would be a good time to slip away for a bit to get those more romantic images for their album. I had listened very carefully to the forecast and it had promised that the weather would be clearing up around 6pm! 6pm it was and right on cue the clouds had all but gone the sky was lighter and even the glimmer of the now low in the sky sun. We had a lull between the meal and the evening guests arriving so what better time for those romantic shots and a little break for Rebecca and Daniel.
Evening guests now arrived and a party atmosphere kicking in, time for the first dance and some more lively dance floor action.
Did rain stop play? did it heck!
