End of an Era, start of a new one

So my little girl has grown up :-( Today she ventures out for the first time to proper School, no more pre-school, no more half days at home, that’s it, we have our house back and it feels very empty indeed :-(

Still, she does make me very proud :-)

Just Gone Star Gazing…

Well I might!  ;-)

But what I am doing is having a mid season break again with my family…this has worked out so well for the last couple of years I have decided to make this a regular thing! It refreshes me, helps me to be better at what I do, and most importantly gives me precious time to spend with my family, my children, who won’t be children forever….and that is important time I don’t want to miss!

So, I am out of here for a couple of weeks, and yes I will be checking my email from time to time and ocasionaly checking phone messages…so if you want to get in touch those are the best way to do so and if its important I will get back to you as soon as I can…if its not so, I will get back to you on my return.

Have a fabulous summer break yourselves…see you all soon, but not too soon! ;-)

End of an era!

Last Friday saw an end of an era in our house. My youngest Ella had her sports day and leavers presentation from her Pre-School. That’s it then, our last child enters the world of Primary School in September and we officially have no more babies in the house :-(

As a Dad I can all too soon see the dreaded boyfriends, the late night parties, driving and yes even that day when she comes home with the one… and my official position as being the man in her life will have been usurped! But I jump ahead… and for now I shall just continue to enjoy my daughter for what she is, a wonderful funny lovely bundle of happiness that brings joy to my heart every time I see her :-)

Hear are a few happy snappy pictures from Ella’s sports day…

Aaah the good ole Egg n Spoon race

The obstacle race

Proud after winning a race..coy smile ;-)

And not forgetting the hopping race of course!

A night off at the Larmer Tree Festival & the Fab Imelda May

So last night we took a well earned night off and took the family over to the very lovely Larmer Tree and to their anual festival, the act we wanted to see most was the wonderful Imelda May.

The Larmer Tree festival is always a wonderful ocaision, very family friendly, loads to do and see, just so very chilled out over 5 days and nights. Yes you can camp for the duration too…if you’ve never been, I would highly recommend it oh and not to forget the wonderful Jools Holland his band and a guest or two always kicks things off on the first night.

So family loaded into the car, trusy pocket sized canon G10 in pocket (no I’m not lugging my gear I’m off to have fun, just a few snappy snaps tonight!) and off we went…!

A few snappy pic’s of just a little bit of our fun….

Some of the many thousands of flags to don the site (yes I know still the artist!)

My little Girl enjoying the atmosphere…she rocked all night, then crashed about 1 minute after getting in the car at midnight :-)

Toby my other boy..thought he’d look dandy in his fav party shirt..bless him ;-)

The main event and the Lady herself…the wonderful Imelda May :-)
