Dorset Family Photographic session with the Hoey Family

Fantastic to meet up with Dawn and Mike Hoey again the other week.

I was really happy to get a phone call the other week from Dawn to ask if I would do another family portrait session for them as they had another addition to the family, Adam (3 weeks old, bless him). I have been privilaged to cover Dawn and Mike’s wedding back in 2006 at the fab Milton Abbey in Dorset, and then a family shoot for their first born Neve in 2008 and then for their next, Ella who was born in 2009. And now it’s time to complete the set apparently with the arrival of Adam! All the family sessions and Dawn and Mike’s engagement shoot have been in the same location to keep a lovely continuity, the fabulous old Mill just outside Sturminster Newton in Dorset.

Here is a sneak peak at a few of the latest Hoey family portraits…

Taking Tea with Tamryn

Recently, I was chatting with the lovely Tamryn Kirby on Twitter and somehow we fell into planning a portrait session for her. The mentions of ‘cake’ were quite frequent in our conversations, and when Tamryn followed me behind the scenes at an eShoot, she very kindly brought me a yummy cake she had baked to enjoy! So it seemed very natural when we started talking about a portrait session that ‘cake should come somewhere into the equation! The theme of cake evolved into a Tea Party and from there to a unique location for such an event…what better than an ancient English Bluebell wood!

Now like all good idea’s, they tend to evolve and during these conversations with Tamryn on Twitter it struck me that we could utilise the skills of some other very talented suppliers also regularly Twittering away to help make this portrait session that little bit more special. So without further ado, I would like to thank the following people for their time, generosity and just plain loveliness in helping to make this portrait session the beautiful thing that it is:

A huge hand for the lovely @jobarnesvintage @GeniiCupcakes & @LoveTheTeaParty

Thank You xx

This is Part 1 of Taking Tea with Tamryn, tomorrow I will tell you more about the other special people (above) and the lovely details they provided.

For now though a few images from the shoot….

Don’t forget, part 2 of this lovely photo-shoot coming tomorrow right here on the blog!

Elvis has left the Building…again!

The other week I was commissioned to cover a 40th Birthday bash and as well as a very funny comedian there was this Elvis tribute act! Now anyone who knows me, knows I’m no Elvis fan (original or otherwise), but I have to concede this guy was very good indeed, not only did the voice seem to come up to scratch but he had the moves down pat too!

Anyway I thought I would share a few pic’s for all you ‘King’ (ahem) fans out there ;-)

Aha!
