Another fantastic Autumn day, it really has been lovely lately. I’m off to one of my favourite locations for a wedding, Maunsel House in Somerset.
I arrive and go straight up to the Kings Room (Bridal Suite) to find Zena and her Bridesmaids getting ready. The usual hair, make-up shots, flowers arrive and the dressing of the Bride and its then off to the Church, St Peters in North Newton just down the road. I meet up with Lee and the boys at the church and settle down to capture the arrival of guests and setting the general scene.
At last its time for everyone to head into St Peters and soon Zena arrives in a beautiful vintage Rolls Royce. A very nervous Zena steadies herself, takes a deep breath and is away down the aisle to her waiting man. A touching ceremony, register signed and its out into the glorious sunshine to be showered with confetti, now off to Maunsel House for the reception.
Pimms on the lawn, relaxing in the warm sunshine a singer in the pagoda, perfect! A few family formals achieved and then a quiet wander with Zena and Lee to give them a chance to catch their breath and for me to capture a few quiet moments. Back to the house now and in for the wedding breakfast, then the hilarious speeches followed by the cutting of the wedding cake. Time for everyone to vacate to the various rooms of Maunsel House for coffee, whilst the main room is turned round ready for the evening festivities. Soon more guests are arriving and its time to go back to the main room for Zena and Lee’s first dance. Funktydumpty a top southwest based band kick us off and soon the dance floor is in full swing. Its time for the band to take a break and we go outside again to find the Hog Roast ready to serve, Zena and Lee also have chosen this moment to release their wishes in the Sky (or Sky Lanterns) and there are enough for almost everyone to release, I have to say they looked really beautiful soaring up and floating away into the night sky. My time to say farewell, another lovely wedding at Maunsel House .
