Anita and Jon are a lovely couple and this is second time around for both of them having at last found the soul mate of their dreams. They both have children from their previous relationships, so this wedding was always going to be more of an intimate family affair with a few good friends thrown in for good measure.
I arrived at the Mount near Taunton in Somerset on a lovely warm sunny day and headed straight up to the Bridal suite where Anita was getting ready. The usual preparation shots done and a glass of something nice with Anita, I then proceeded back down stairs to find Jon and his Groomsmen waiting nervously and greeting family and guests now arriving.
Soon its time for Jon and his guests to take their places in the ceremony room and await the arrival of the lovely Anita. Anita and her bridesmaids and page boy soon head down the beautiful staircase and make their way into the ceremony room to the waiting Jon. A short but touching civil ceremony takes place and soon Mrs and Mrs Hebbes emerge into the late summer sunshine man and wife at last.
Drinks and canapes on the lovely lawns and entertainment by a string quartet their music wafting gently on the light summer breeze mixed with the laughter of contented guests. A few family formals to follow and then a quiet wander with Jon and Anita for some more intimate shots and then its time to head indoors for the reception. Jon and Anita had devised a clever ice breking way for their guests to find out which table they were to be seated at. They had filled a large number of Gold coloured balloons with Helium and on the end of the strings had tied a label containing the name of a guest and the table they were to be seated at. These balloons had then been let loose in the lounge of the Mount where they had floated up to the ceiling with their surprise tails left dangling for guests to grab and to find out their secrets, a good bit of fun if you ask me!
All balloons finally resting with their correct owners everyone headed in to sit down for the lovely meal, followed of course by the touching speeches and then the traditional cutting of the wedding cake.
Evening guests now arriving and time for the first dance, the DJ plays Jon and Anita’s song and they take to the dance floor for the first time as man and wife.
A lovely day and a lovely couple. Jon and Anita, I wish you all the happiness for the future.
