Quote of the week!

'It takes a special kind of individual to shoot weddings every weekend and keep a smile on your face, while all that surround you are still drinking. And it's exactly that type of positivity - in the face of the relentless pressure to deliver on the couple's precious day - that seems to mark out the best in the business.

It is almost facile to say, but if you don't enjoy what you shoot, that's going to reflect in your photography.'

Simon Bainbridge, Editor, British Journal of Photography.

Nina & Justin , Priston Mill

Nina & Justin were a great couple to be with. In addition to their e-shoot, Nina had booked a Hush session with me which went really well, and meant that on the day she was completely relaxed with the camera. Her red shoes are definitely set to be a classic for this year - genius!

This early in the year the light can sometimes be a challenge, but the weather was fine and generally bright. Nina had a her make up and hair done in the middle of Bath in a large department store – good fun to shoot – and made Nina feel like a celebrity as the general public wandering in and out thought she was famous because a professional photographer was snapping away.

Justin and the boys all met up in a local famous restaurant Browns – had a hearty lunch then off to the church walking through the streets of Bath.

It was a lovely Catholic ceremony in St John the Baptist in Bath – the church was decorated beautofully, and the stunning candles were a theme which ran throughout the day.

The reception was at Priston Mill - a lovely old Mill Barn. It soon became very lively as the light faded, the band kicked in and everyone partied into the night.

It's a GIRL!!!!!!!

Yes! Our baby plum has finally decided to join us, and in the end poor Laura had to give in and have the caesarean.
It's a GIRL!!! I have a daughter!!!
Ella Madeleine Kay, 3.14p.m., weighing in at 9lb on the dot.
Special special day. Three boys, and now our very own pink one. Mum and baby both doing perfectly.
Now make the most of these pictures, they're a rare commodity round here - not by me, but OF me :O. The first is the most special of the lot - Ella is about two minutes old, and it was taken by Laura whilst she is still being sewn up, holding her camera up in the air ( i was very proud of her for getting it in focus!). The midwife helped me place Ella inside my scrubs for her first skin-to-skin contact, a memory I'll always treasure.

Prima Baby magazine article

Our ’Pregnant Pause Babymoons’ were featured in the January 07 Prima Baby magazine. Rachel Mostyn, the journalist, came and enjoyed a weekend away at Plumber Manor, a pregnancy day of Spa treatments at Oasis, and then on to me for her shoot.
