We've just received a new picture of Sam, and his school report!
Apparently he has passed Yr1, and has been promoted to Grade 2. His personality sounds apt for us - of all the tickboxes (Shy, Quiet, Friendly etc) his was firmly ticked for 'Talkative / Lively'!!
His hobby is cycling, and his favourite sport is Football (Half a world away, and this could all have been written about my own 8yr old, Cameron!).
Sam hasn't written anything himself, but has included a picture of a stone bricked bulding which we're guessing is the new school house.
In the Lufwanyama district only a small number of schools are constructed of durable materials - the rest are temporary structures. World Visions ADP (Area Development) have this year constructed two 3-classroom blocks, which are not adequate, but by using them in rotation have meant the children attending lessons that aren't held in the shade of a tree fo the first time in 15 years.
